Late Dr. Hemant Patel (Founder, Gujarat Imaging Centre) was widely regarded as a clinician’s clinician—steadfast in science, generous in mentorship, and unwaveringly kind to patients. Over more than two decades, he helped shape modern radiology practice in India, building systems that were at once disciplined, data-driven, and deeply human. He served the profession in national and international leadership roles, including National President, Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (IRIA) and Secretary, Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR), and inspired numerous academic initiatives and orations established in his honour.

Dr. Patel believed that early detection saves not just years, but quality of life. He championed dose-optimised imaging, meticulous reporting, and honest conversations with patients - principles that form the backbone of Ciëlo HealthScreening.
