1. Purpose and Scope

These Terms & Conditions govern your voluntary participation in the Ciëlo Health Screening Program (the “Program”). The Program provides comprehensive preventive health assessments, including but not limited to blood tests, imaging studies (e.g. ultrasound, low-dose CT, mammography), cardiovascular evaluations, and bone density measurements.

2. Voluntary Participation
  • Participation in the Program is entirely voluntary.
  • You may decline or withdraw from any component of the Program at any time without penalty or impact on future medical care.
  • Withdrawal from individual tests does not require you to exit the entire Program unless you so choose.
3. Procedures and Possible Risks
  • Blood Draws: May cause mild pain, bruising, or very rarely, infection or hematoma.
  • Imaging Studies:
    • X-ray/CT: Involves low-dose ionizing radiation; although minimized, there remains a small lifetime risk of radiation-induced effects.
    • Ultrasound & MRI: Generally safe and non-invasive, with no known long-term risks.
    • Contrast Agents (if used): Carry a rare risk of allergic reaction or kidney function alteration; pre-screening for allergies and renal function is performed.
  • Cardiovascular Tests: ECG, 2D-Echo, TMT may induce transient discomfort, arrhythmia, or, very rarely, cardiac events in predisposed individuals.
4. Benefits
  • Early detection of occult disease or risk factors.
  • Personalized health data to guide lifestyle and medical interventions.
  • Baseline metrics for ongoing health monitoring.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
  • All personal, clinical, and imaging data will be stored securely in encrypted electronic records.
  • Data sharing is limited to your referring physician, authorized Program staff, or as required by law (e.g., public health reporting).
  • You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal health information in accordance with applicable data-protection laws.
6. Use of Data for Quality Improvement and Research
  • De-identified aggregate data may be used for internal quality-assurance, service enhancement, or academic research.
  • No personally identifiable information will be published or shared without your explicit, written consent.
7. Costs and Billing
  • You agree to pay the fees for the selected screening tests as per the current fee schedule.
  • Payment terms and any applicable insurance claims procedures will be communicated prior to testing.
8. Responsibilities and Conduct
  • You agree to provide accurate medical history and to inform staff of any changes in health status.
  • You must follow all pre-test instructions (e.g., fasting, medication adjustments).
  • Program staff will explain each procedure, obtain informed consent for each, and monitor you throughout.
9. Withdrawal and Cancellation
  • You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • The Program reserves the right to cancel or postpone procedures for safety, staffing, or equipment reasons; you will be notified promptly in such cases.
10. Liability Limitation
  • Ciëlo and its staff will exercise due care and professional standards.
  • To the extent permitted by law, Ciëlo’s aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Program is limited to the total fees paid for the screening services in question.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
